Iran earns silver in YOG wrestling competition
SINGAPORE, Aug. 17 (MNA) -- Mehran Sheikhi claimed a silver medal in the Men’s freestyle wrestling of Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games (YOG) on Tuesday.
Sheikhi was defeated by Aldar Balzhinimaev from Russia and came short to win gold.
Sheikhi had already defeated Andry Davila from Venezuela and Robinson Rios of Peru in the event.
The 2010 Youth Olympic Games has brought together 3,600 athletes ages 14 to 18 from 204 countries competing in 26 sports.
