Ireland, North Korea’s ambassadors meet Ahmadinejad

TEHRAN, Aug. 18 (MNA) – In separate meetings on Tuesday the new ambassadors of Ireland and North Korea submitted their credentials to Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

In the meeting with Oliver Grogen, the Ireland’s ambassador to Tehran, President Ahmadinejad said Tehran and Dublin can play important roles in promoting a new world order in which justice, friendship, and respect would shape relations between nations.

The president added an expansion of Tehran-Dublin cooperation will serve the interests of the two independent and freedom-loving countries.

Grogen, for his part, attached high significance to Iran’s role in the region and called for boosting ties with Tehran.

In his meeting with new North Korea’s ambassador, Ahmadinejad said the hegemonic powers seek their own benefits through creating tension among nations and called for vigilance in the face of plots by the enemies.

The president also said there is no impediment in expanding Tehran-Pyongyang relations.

For his part, the ambassador said North Korea stands by the Islamic Republic of Iran against the U.S. bullying.
