34% increase in Iran's tax revenues

TEHRAN, Aug. 22 (MNA) -- There has been a 34 percent increase in tax revenues in the first four months of the Iranian calendar year (started March 21) compared to the same period last year, said the director of National Iranian Tax Administration.

The Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting quoted Ali Askari as telling reporters on Saturday that in the month of Tir (June 21- July 22) tax revenues had increased 32 percent.

He went on to say that also in the month of Tir, direct taxes comprised 24 percent, and taxes related to goods and services comprised 62 percent of tax revenues.
