Iran, Ankara to become sister cities

TEHRAN, Aug. 23 (MNA) -- Tehran and Ankara mayors will be signing a sisterhood agreement between two cities in the near future.

The initial measures have been taken by the Iranian delegation that is currently in Ankara attending the Ramadan festival.

The director of Iran’s Melal Cultural Center and Iran’s representative at the Turkish festival, Seyyed Mohammad Hossein Hejazi, visited the Head of the Cultural and Social Works of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, Selma Okuroglu, and invited her to familiarize herself with Tehran cultural activities.

Iran attended Anakara’s Ramadan festival which gathers Muslim countries to promote their culture and art from the 15th to 20th day of Ramadan, August 26-31.
