Montreal festival to screen Iranian films
TEHRAN, Aug. 25 (MNA) -- Three Iranian films will go on screen at the Montreal World Film Festival, which will be held from August 26 to September 6.
“Underwater Banquet” by Babak Amini will screen at the Short Film Competition. Majid Barzegar’s “Rainy Seasons” will compete at the First Films Competition Section and “Tehran, Teheran” by Dariush Mehrjuii and Mehdi Karampur is the representative of Iran at festival’s Focus on World Cinema.
The Montreal World Film Festival, considered the largest fully independent film festival in the world, will also pay homage to Iranian director Jafar Panahi.
