Turkey’s soccer girls defeat Iran in YOG
SINGAPORE, Aug. 25 (MNA) -- Iran’s girls’ soccer team finished fourth here in the 2010 Youth Olympic Games on Tuesday.
Iran, who was already beaten by Turkey 4-2 in its opening, lost to the team once again 3-0 in the bronze medal match at the Jalan Besar Stadium.
Hilal Baskol (3), Dilan Akarsu (51) and Feride Serin (71) scored Turkey’s goals against Iran.
“We deserved to lose against Turkey. It was our first experience and you will see a better performance from us in the future,” Iran coach Shahrzad Mozaffar said.
