China to sign contract to complete Iran railway
TEHRAN, Aug. 29 (MNA) – The minister of transportation said the Chinese will sign a deal for the completion of the railway from Arak to Khosravi (Iran’s Western Railway).
Hamid Behbahani said the deal is worth some $1.5-2 million and will be finished in 2.5 years.
The Arak-Malayer-Hamedan-Kermanshah-Khosravi railway is 566 kilometers long and could be linked to the Iraqi and Syrian railway networks and thus connected to the Mediterranean Sea through this route.
