Iranian festival to honor actress Fakhri Khorvash in San Francisco
TEHRAN, Aug. 29 (MNA) -- Veteran Iranian actress Fakhri Khorvash will be honored for her lifetime achievements during the Iranian Film Festival, which will be held in San Francisco on September 18 and 19.
The ceremony has been arranged to honor her 50-year career in Iranian stage and screen.
The festival will also screen the short film “Border” by Iranian director Sattar Chamani-Gol that tells the story of an Iraqi family attempting to take their new bride home from Iran and their confrontation with border officials who prevent them from crossing the frontier.
The Iranian Film Festival (IFF) in San Francisco is an annual event showcasing independent feature and short films made by or about Iranians from around the world.
