Economist decreases forecast on Iran’s GDP growth
TEHRAN, Aug. 30 (MNA) – Economist slashed down its previous forecast and predicted that Iran Gross Domestic Production will increase over $54 billion in the current year.
ISNA news agency cited Economist’s August report stating that GDP rose from $361.2 billion last year to $415.5 billion this year.
Next year this figure will rise to $488 billion the report stated.
It is believed that in the Iranian calendar year of 1391 (starting March 2012) GDP will reach $580.8 billion.
In 1392, it will reach $686 billion and in the following year the figure will be $797 billion according to the latest forecast by the Economist magazine.
