Tehran condemns Pakistan terrorist attack
TEHRAN, Sept. 6 (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast has strongly condemned the terrorist attack in the Pakistani city of Quetta that killed seventy-three people and wounded many others.
The tragic attack against Muslims once again revealed the hideous face of the enemies of Islam and humanity to the world, Mehmanparast stated on Sunday.
Seventy-three people were killed and over 150 injured in a bomb attack at a Shia Muslim rally in the southwestern city of Quetta on Friday.
Mehmanparast added that the attack on the defenseless people who had held rallies to peacefully express their solidarity with the oppressed Palestinians on the Qods Day was a “big mistake”.
The link between terrorist groups and the arrogant powers as well as their servility to Zionism were brought to light through this incident, Mehmanparast said, adding it removed the mask from the face of real supporters of terrorism.
He also offered condolences to Pakistani government and nation on behalf of Iran over the vicious action and wished speedy recovery for the injured.
