Iranian Quran memorizer wins first prize at Tunisian contest
TEHRAN, Sept. 7 (MNA) -- Iranian Quran memorizer Yunes Aqili won the top prize at the Tunis International Competition for Holy Quran Memorizing, Psalmody and Exegesis.
The contest began on Ramadan 18 (August 29) in Tunisia and Aqili won the first prize in the Quran memorization section among 21 other competing countries.
The winners were awarded during a ceremony on September 4 which was attended by Tunisian officials and ambassadors from Islamic countries to Tunisia.
