50% increase in transit of goods through Iran
TEHRAN, Sept. 8 (MNA) – The Director of Iran Road Maintenance and Transportation Organization said the transit of goods had increased 50 percent in the first five months of the Iranian calendar year (starting March 21) compared to the same period last year.
According to Shahriar Afendizadeh last year’s figure of 2.7 million tons of goods transited through the country increased to 4.1 million tons this year.
He added that they are striving with the government’s support to increase the transit in the country to the record figure of 10 million tons a year.
