Iran's ayatollah doubtful about inflation reduction
QOM, Sept. 12 (MNA) - Grand Ayatollah Naser Makarem Shirazi said on Friday that the figures released by the government about the reduction of prices are not true.
“Constantly, figures are presented about the reduction of inflation, but this contrasts with what people see with their own eyes,” the ayatollah told worshippers who had gathered in the shrine of Hazrat Ma’soumeh (SA) in Qom to hold Eid al-Fitr prayers.
He added if statistics “do not match realities|” people will not believe any figure that the government presents.
Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi described unemployment and high inflation as two major problems, saying many highly-educated persons refer to him seeking job which is “regretful”.
