Female American national to be released on bail: Iran
TEHRAN, Sept. 12 (MNA) – Tehran Prosecutor General Jafari Doltaabadi announced on Sunday that the female American national, Sarah Shourd, will be released on bail due to health problems.
Shourd, 32, along with Shane Bauer, 28, and Joshua Fattal, 28, were arrested on July 31, 2009 by Iranian border guards as they illegally entered Iran’s territory from Iraq’s Kurdistan region.
Shourd will be released on a half-million dollar bail, Doltaabadi said.
Doltaabadi said Shourd should appear in court when a hearing will be held.
However, Doltaabadi said the Judiciary has extended the temporary arrest of Bauer and Fattal.
