Judiciary seeks prompt action against desecration of Islamic sanctities

TEHRAN, Sept. 14 (MNA) – Iran’s Judiciary chief issued a statement on Tuesday calling on religious scholars from monotheistic religions, leading lawyers, judiciary chiefs around the world, and international organizations to do a prompt and serious action against desecration of Islamic sanctities.

The remarks by Ayatollah Sadeq Larijani came in response to the calls to desecrate the Quran and an unfortunate incidence of Quran burning in the United States.

Desecration of holy Quran in front of the White House, as a pre-planned action, is considered an insult to all divine religions, Ayatollah Larijani noted.

He said Quran is a book which have recognized divine prophets and endorsed them.

The ignominious act of burning Quran is more than a stupid action by some ordinary persons, he explained, adding it rather shows that a new conspiracy is taking shape under the leadership of the international Zionism.

Ayatollah Larijani said these actions are intended to cover up the political and military failures of the international Zionism in the world especially in the Middle Eastern region.
