Anti-Iran moves are out of West desperation: Leader
TEHRAN, Sept. 18 (MNA) – The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution says anti-Iran moves by the global arrogance are made out of “desperation” which will make the Iranian nation more resilient.
The issuance of anti-Iran resolutions, hostile moves against the Islamic Republic system, post-election seditious movements, and the shameful desecration of the Quran are all measures that the hegemonic powers have taken out of “weakness”, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said in a meeting with members of the Assembly of Experts on Thursday.
Today, the arrogant powers are suffering a disease called “hyperactivity”, the Leader noted.
The Leader also noted these moves are indications of the Islamic front’s increasing awareness, power and experience otherwise there would be no need for such “scheming and planning” against it.
In addition, he described the West’s current “precarious” status in the international arena as the result of this rising awareness.
The West’s current weakness has caused some of its allies in the region to think of some ways to free themselves from the pressure of the Islamic wave and the impasse they have been stuck in, but it has all been in vain, the Leader stated.
Ayatollah Khamenei went on to say that the enemy seeks to ruin the people’s trust in officials and undermine their religious beliefs and called for increased vigilance in face of the enemies’ plots.
If the Islamic system was to suffer a defeat, it would have happened in the first decade of the Islamic revolution when the system was not quite experienced, the Leader noted.
Elsewhere in his talks, Ayatollah Khamenei said the Islamic Republic’s achievements over the past years are due to peoples’ involvement in national affairs, calling on the officials not to lose the nation’s trust.
The country's officials must discriminate major issues from marginal ones, the Leader noted, adding minor issues should not be regarded as a “criterion” for agreement or disagreement.
