Iran interior minister to attend Bahrain ministerial summit

TEHRAN, Sept. 21 (MNA) -- Interior Minister Mostafa Mohammad Najjar will arrive in the Bahraini capital city of Manama today to attend the seventh Conference of the Interior Ministers of Iraq's Neighboring Countries on Wednesday.

The meeting will bring together representatives from Iran, Syria, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Kuwait, Egypt, and Bahrain.

Najjar is scheduled to deliver a speech at the conference. He will also hold talks with the ministers present in the meeting.

An Iranian delegation, headed by Ali Abdollahi, the deputy interior minister for security affairs, arrived in Manama on Saturday in preparation for the ministerial meeting.

The first Conference of the Interior Ministers of Iraq's Neighboring Countries was held in Tehran in 2003.
