No war against Iran is in the offing: top commander
TEHRAN, Sept. 21 (MNA) – Iran’s Armed Forces Chief of Staff Hassan Firouzabadi has ruled out the possibility of any war against Iran in the current situation.
We don’t think that a war is launched against Iran, because in the current situation Zionists are stuck in a worse condition than the Americans and it will be madness on their part to start a war,” Firouzabadi told reporters on the sidelines of a graduation ceremony at a military academy in Tehran on Monday.
“Considering the current situation in the U.S. and Israel, it is unlikely that they dare to launch war against a (great) nation like Iran, because Iran will impose heavy losses on them,” he asserted.
Iran will not be engaged in a war with the U.S. or Israel as long as they don’t launch attack on Iran, the top general noted.
He also said the weapons that have been manufactured in the country meet Iran’s strategic defense needs.
Elsewhere in remarks, Firouzabadi pointed to the groups that oppose the system and said if they take any action against the system, police will deal with them.
