TEHRAN, Sept. 21 (MNA) -- Over the past five months, the government has allocated 80 million dollars for development of Tehran metro, presidential advisor Mohammad Royanian announced on Monday.

Royanian, who is the head of the committee for management of transport and fuel, said a special committee formed by top officials of the country is pursuing withdrawal of 2 billion dollars from the Foreign Exchange Fund for development of metro in Tehran and other big cities.

It has been quite a while that Majlis and administration are caught in a dispute over the allocation of 2 billion dollar.
