Iran comes 2nd in EuroVolley Challenge 2010
INNSBRUCK, Austria, Sept. 22 (MNA) -- Iran volleyball team beat Austria in the final day of the “EuroVolley Challenge 2010” on Monday night.
Iran overpowered Austria in straight sets (19-25, 15-25, 21-25). The team had already defeated Puerto Rico 3-0 and lost to China 3-1.
China won the title of the event. Iran finished in second place while Austria and Puerto Rico were third and fourth respectively.
Iran volleyball team is preparing itself for the 2010 FIVB Volleyball World Championship which will be held from September 25 to October 10 in Italy. The Persians are in Pool A along with Italy, Egypt and Japan.
