Allocation of $2b for metro is legally binding: Tehran mayor
TEHRAN, Sept. 26 (MNA) -- Tehran Mayor Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf says according to the parliamentary approval the administration is legally required to withdraw 2 billion dollars from the Foreign Exchange Fund for the development of metro in Tehran and other big cities.
When a law is ratified, all must abide by it regardless of their position, Qalibaf stated on Saturday.
Qalibaf said the Majlis will certainly pursue the issue.
It has been quite a while that Majlis and administration are caught in a dispute over the allocation of 2 billion dollar. Administration has refused to allocate the money.
