Chinese people get a glance at Persian calligraphy art
TEHRAN, Sept. 26 (MNA) -- Iran is holding a calligraphy exhibition on Quranic themes at the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Museum in Yinchuan, China.
Over 50 works of art inspired by Quranic verses in different calligraphic styles, including Kufic, Naskh and Nastaliq, are currently on display at the exhibition.
The exhibit, which will run until October 10, will also offer books on Iranian tourist and cultural attractions for visitors.
Iran’s cultural attaché to Beijing, and museum and cultural officials of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region spoke at the exhibit’s opening ceremony on Saturday.
Iran’s cultural attaché office presented to those attending the ceremony with a Chinese version of the Holy Quran and other books on Iranian culture and history.
The exhibit is cosponsored by the Iranian cultural attaché’s office in China and cultural officials of the Muslim Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.
