Trailer slams into bus in Iran, 14 dead
TEHRAN, Sept. 27 (MNA) -- A Scania trailer crashed into a passenger bus on Karaj-Qazvin highway on Monday killing 14 people and injuring about 31 others.
The incident happened at 06:00 a.m. local time near the Karaj toll station, police announced.
Of the fatalities 9 passengers died upon impact immediately and the others succumbed to their injuries later in hospital.
The passenger bus was moving from Baneh, a city in northwestern Kurdistan Province, to Tehran.
Police have blamed the trailer driver for the tragic incident.
