Leader congratulates Iran’s weightlifting success
TEHRAN, Sept. 28 (MNA) -- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei congratulated weightlifter Behdad Salimi for his championship.
The +100kg category lifter won the gold medal of the 2010 World Weightlifting Championships in Antalya, Turkey.
Salimi lifted 208kg in Snatch and won silver. The Iranian lifter won his second silver medal in clean and jerk by lifting 245kg. Salimi claimed the gold with 453kg in total.
