Iran moves to restrict disclosure of nuclear information
TEHRAN, Oct. 10 (MNA) – The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (IAEO) has taken measures that will restrict easy disclosure of the organization’s information, IAEO Director Ali Akbar Salehi told the Fars News Agency.
The measure came as the Intelligence Ministry announced that a number of nuclear spies have been arrested.
Salehi said one of old plots, which is still used, is that some Western countries have been luring Iranian nuclear specialists by offers of better education or jobs.
He said in the past the IAEO staff could easily have access to the organization’s secret information and unfortunately some of specialists fell for these Western offers and information leaked out abroad.
Today, nobody can access confidential information and, fortunately, the agency has succeeded to win its specialists’ trust and allay their concerns, he noted.
