Iran plans to host intl. conference on terrorism
TEHRAN, Oct. 10 (MNA) – Iran is planning to host an international conference on the fight against terrorism, Tehran’s envoy to the UN Mohammad Khazaei announced.
Talking in the UN preparatory meeting, Khazaei said the conference in the winter will examine different aspects of terrorism and its effects on international relations.
Terrorism is condemned by all cultures and religions and no divine religion allows any act of terrorism or violence against innocent people, the top-ranking diplomat noted.
He went on to say that Iran condemns terrorism in all its forms including state terrorism.
Iran considers any act of terrorism by terrorist groups or state forces as a “criminal” move, he added.
Iran is among the victims of terrorism. Within two weeks terrorists killed about 16 people, 11 of them women, in the Kurdish-populated regions in the western country.
