Florence gallery hangs paintings by young Iranian artists

TEHRAN, Oct. 10 (MNA) -- A group of young Iranian artists are displaying their artworks in Tannaz Gallery in Florence, Italy.

Works of art by ten artists selected by veteran Manijeh Sohi have been put on display at the gallery on October 9 for one week, one of the participating artists Shabnam Shabani told the Persian service of MNA.

“For the first time, the gallery’s managers, two Iranians, decided to display works by Iranian artists. Prior to this time, they have hung works by Italians at the gallery,” she added.

“Three items chosen from my ‘trees’ series are among the works of art currently on show,” she said.

Shabani is a graduate of art and architecture from Azad University. She has been studying with veteran artists such as Mansureh Hosseini, Karim Nasr, Hamidreza Suri, and Mandana Parnian.
