Iran becomes runner up in Asian Junior Volleyball Championship
TEHRAN, Oct. 10 (MNA) -- Japan defeated Iran in the final game of the 15th Asian Junior Men’s Volleyball Championship on Saturday.
The Japanese side outshined defending champion Iran 3-1 with a result of 25-19, 19-25, 25-13, 25-23 and won the title in Ratchaburi, Thailand.
India defeated China 3-2 in the bronze medal match.
The top three teams advanced to the 2011 FIVB Junior World Championships which will be held in Brazil.
