TEHRAN, Oct. 12 (MNA) -- Iran will hold a cultural festival from November 4 to 7 at the Arab Capital of Culture 2010 in Doha, Qatar.
The Iran’s Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance and Iran’s Islamic Culture and Relations Organization will hold the event which will include several artistic and cultural programs, and handicraft exhibits.
“Iran aims to convey a message of friendship and unity among Muslims through this festival,” Iran’s ambassador to Qatar Abdollah Sohrabi mentioned during his recent meeting with Qatar’s Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage Hamad Bin Abdulaziz Al Kuwari.
Sohrabi appreciated the support of the Qatar Ministry of Culture for holding Iranian festival at the Arab Capital of Culture, saying that Iran will endeavor to hold an informative and well-organized program.
At the meeting, Al Kuwari mentioned that the commonalities between the Persian and Arabic languages are important bonds which connect the two cultures together.
“A limited number of countries that have a rich history of art and culture like Iran were selected to hold festivals in Doha,” Al Kuwari added.
He also announced that the Qatar Ministry of Culture will provide support to Iran for holding the festival.
