Ahmadinejad's Lebanon visit puts enemies in confusion: Judiciary chief
TEHRAN, Oct. 18 (MNA) -- Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli TEHRAN,Oct. 18(MNA) -- Larijani said President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s historic visit to Lebanon left the enemies in confusion.
The enemies of the Islamic revolution are puzzled and cannot analyze why Ahmadinejad received such a great welcome in Beirut, Larijani stated at a meeting with judicial officials on Sunday.
Ahmadinejad visited Lebanon on Wednesday and Thursday for talks with senior Lebanese officials. He was warmly received by the Lebanese nation.
Such a warm welcome indicated the great influence of the Islamic revolution which is an “illumination for all world Muslims”.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the Judiciary chief vehemently dismissed news that he had written a letter to the Supreme Leader complaining about the interference of outsiders in judicial affairs.
Such speculations are in tandem with the post-election incidents in 2009, he commented.
Earlier, National Prosecutor General Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Ejei had denied the report, saying it seems that the opposition groups are behind such false reports.
If someone reads the letter, the wording shows that the letter has not been written by an Iranian official, Mohseni-Ejei had said.
Certain media outlets had announced that Sadeq Amoli Larijani has sent a letter to the Supreme Leader in which he criticized the interference of outsiders in judicial affairs and threatened to resign.
