Nima poetry being translated into English

TEHRAN,Oct.19 (MNA) -- A selection of poetry by the Iranian father of blank verse Nima Yushij is being translated into English.

Saeid Saeidpur is currently rendering a selection of about 50 pieces of poetry by Nima into English.

A collection of Nima’s Rubaiyyat will also appear in English in the book.

Born Ali Esfandiari, Nima (1896-1960) died of pneumonia in the Shemiran neighborhood in Tehran, but was buried in Yush located in Iran’s northern province of Mazandaran, as he had willed.
