Nikkhah Bahrami named Iran’s flag-bearer in Asian Games
TEHRAN, Oct. 20 (MNA) -- Basketball player Samad Nikkhah Bahrami was named as Iran’s flag-bearer in the 2010 Asian Games.
Injured Nikkhah Bahrami will most likely not be able to play for Iran basketball team in the Asian Games.
“I was surprised by being selected as the Iran’s flag-bearer because I have not yet been recovered; of course, I am so happy and it is one of my greatest honors to serve my country,” the 27-year old basketball player said.
Bahrami is Iran’s tenth flag-bearer in the Asian Games.
The 2010 Asian Games are scheduled to take place in Guangzhou, China, from 12 to 27 November.
