New South Korean, Dutch ambassadors meet Ahmadinejad
TEHRAN, Oct. 25(MNA) – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad received on Sunday the credentials of new Dutch and South Korean ambassadors to Iran.
In a meeting with the Netherlands’ ambassador, Ahmadinejad said Tehran is interested in expanding ties with Amsterdam.
The new ambassador also said that Iran and the Netherlands have rich cultures and this can serve as a first step to expand ties between the two countries.
There is great potential the two countries can utilize to increase their ties in various areas, he noted.
Ahmadinejad, in his meeting with the South Korean ambassador, said Tehran and Seoul should develop cooperation on international issues.
The two countries should also devise plans to promote their ties in all areas, he added.
The new South Korean ambassador, for his part, said his country is pursuing the expansion of ties with Iran through a strategic way.
The South Korean government plans to hold a cultural event in order to mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Seoul-Tehran ties, he stated.
He also said that his country is ready to share its experiences with the Islamic Republic.
