Enemy still seeking to undermine Islamic system: Leader
QOM , Oct. 27 (MNA) – Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said that the nation should be vigilant and insightful because the enemy is still seeking to undermine the Islamic system.
“When the global arrogance continues to hatch plots (against the Islamic system) despite back-to-back defeats they have suffered, it shows that the bullying powers are not still disappointed,” Ayatollah Khamenei said in an address to a gathering of university students and professors in Qom on Tuesday.
Considering this fact, the Iranian nation and the Islamic system should smartly and insightfully devise long-term plans to foil enemy’s plots, he stated.
The Leader highlighted the importance of insightfulness and said after the June 2009 presidential election some figures due to lack of insight claimed that the election was rigged and did not pursue their complaints through legal channels, and in this way contributed to the enemy’s plots and undermined the national interests.
There is ample evidence that the incidents that followed the presidential election were the results of long-term plans by the enemy, the Leader insisted.
“But, by God’s grace they were defeated, and of course they should have been defeated due to people’s presence and vigilance,” he noted.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Ayatollah Khamenei commented on the enemy’s tactics in facing the Islamic system, saying the global arrogance has launched a sophisticated propaganda campaign against the system in a way that it mixes true facts with false news to confuse the public.
“And some people in the country intentionally or unintentionally repeat and relay the enemy’s propaganda,” he added.
