Majlis hails Leader's visit to Qom
TEHRAN, Nov.1(MNA) -- In a statement issued on Sunday, 240 lawmakers commended the Supreme Leader for his historic visit to the shrine city of Qom. The lawmakers also praised Qomi citizens for their warm welcome to the Leader.
The Leader’s visit to Qom marked a “starting point of a new movement in the country’s religious and political atmosphere”, the statement read.
It is expected that different state bodies make use of the Leader’s guidelines to serve national interests, it added.
The statement also said that the guidelines set by the Leader would pave the way for the country’s religious and scientific progress.
Ayatollah Khamenei made a 10-day visit to the holy city of Qom starting on October 19 and was heartily welcomed upon his arrival. The Leader returned to Tehran on Friday, October 29.
