Party leader says political vitality is reviving
TEHRAN, Nov. 6 (MNA) -- Abdolhossein Rouholamini, secretary general of the Islamic Iran Development and Justice Party, said calm and political vitality are returning to the country.
“Fortunately, the (political) climate is becoming calm again and the political vitality is being restored,” Rouholamini told a meeting of students at Shiraz University.
He also criticized the way the media outlets are covering the news about the political groups, calling it unfair.
It is unfair to boycott a large group of loyalists to the system who have differing views and not cover their views about issues facing the country, the party leader noted.
The party chief also advised political groups against taking extremist actions, saying all political groups, as the Leader has said, should try to attract as many people as possible.
Rouholamini lost his 25-year-old son Mohsen in June 2009. Mohsen was arrested at a demonstration following the presidential election. Mohsen died while in custody in the Kahrizak detention center. Following the incident the Supreme Leader ordered the closure of the detention center.
