U.S. aware of Iran’s clout in region: prosecutor general

TEHRAN, Nov. 9 (MNA) – National Prosecutor General Gholam-Hossein Mohseni Ejei said U.S. officials have admitted that Iran is an influential heavyweight in the region.

“The U.S. political and intelligence leaders, in their recent remarks, have admitted that Iran is an influential country in the Middle East,” Mohseni Ejei said on Monday.

“They count on Iran’s influence over many countries around the world and the decisive role that Iran can play in resolving certain international issues,” explained Mohseni Ejei, a former intelligence minister in Ahmadinejad’s first administration.

He also described Iran as one of the most powerful countries in the world and said Iran is currently self-sufficient in the production of various kinds of military equipment and is even an arms exporter.

The chief prosecutor described the Islamic Republic as the most politically independent country in the world which is also capable of resisting political pressures and neutralizing massive propaganda campaigns by the enemies.
