‘Iran, Algeria share common views on international issues’

TEHRAN, Nov. 23 (MNA)--Iran and Algeria shared common views toward international issues, Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani told Algerian Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia here on Monday.

Heading a high-ranking economic delegation, Ouyahia arrived in Tehran on Sunday for a two-day official visit.

Larijani said the two countries enjoy great potential for cooperation, adding that the two sides must define new horizons for further economic and trade ties.

Ouyahia also described Tehran-Algiers ties as “strong” and called for stronger economic cooperation.

The prime minister said Algiers welcomes the involvement of Iranian companies in different economic projects in Algeria.

He added, “Continued consultations among the senior officials of the two countries play a significant role in strengthening the brotherly ties.”

Ouyahia also held talks with President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad late on Monday.
