Speaker says Iran’s progress is an asset for Tajikistan
TEHRAN, Nov. 29(MNA) -- Iran’s progress in different branches of modern technology is an enormous asset for developing Tajikistan, Iranian Majlis speaker Ali Larijani told his Tajik counterpart Shukurjon Zuhurov in Tehran on Saturday.
Larijani said Iran has a long-term strategic view toward Tajikistan and expressed Tehran’s readiness to provide any kind of help for development of Tajikistan.
The senior lawmaker said historical and cultural links between the two nations will protect the brotherly relations from any kind of damage, and called for strengthening economic cooperation with Dushanbe.
Pointing to Iranian experts’ experiences in constructing water power plants and road building, the Majlis speaker said Tajikistan can use Iran’s experiences in its development projects.
For his part, Zuhurov said Iran and Tajikistan share a common culture and history.
Zuhurov added Tajikistan prioritizes strengthening friendship with Iran. He also called for acceleration in implementing joint agreements particularly in construction of water power plants.
