Russian culture minister visiting Tehran
TEHRAN, Nov. 30 (MNA) -- Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Aleksandr Aleksejevits Avdejev arrived here in Tehran early on Monday morning and was officially welcomed by Deputy Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance for Literary Fields Yahya Talebian.
Minister Avdejev leading a delegation of four will be meeting with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Hosseini and director of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO) Mohammad-Baqer Khorramshad.
Mikhail Borisovich Piotrovsky, director of the State Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg and Alexander Sedov, director of the State museum of Oriental Art in Moscow are accompanying the minister.
Developing bilateral cultural relations in different fields including cinema, art, publishing as well as holding cultural weeks in both countries are among the topics on the agenda to be discussed.
Iranian cultural attaché in Russia Abuzar Ebrahimi Torkaman is also accompanying the Russian minister.
