Saudi embassy in Tehran denies WikiLeak’s claims
TEHRAN, Dec. 1 (MNA)-- The Saudi Arabian embassy in Tehran rejected the WikiLeak’s claims that Arab countries urged the United States to launch a strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities.
“The kingdom of Saudi Arabia rejects the news, and it is not the first time that such issues are raised in the media,” Saudi Arabian charge d'affaires told on Tuesday.
Dissemination of such news is aimed at undermining the two countries’ bilateral relations, he said.
WikiLeaks recently published a document claiming that Arab leaders have been privately urging the United States to take military action to halt Iran’s nuclear program.
On Monday, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad responded to the WikiLeaks’s release, dismissing the documents as not credible.
“We neighboring countries are friends, and these malicious moves will have no effect on our relations,” Ahmadinejad said.
