Terror acts on physicists rooted in Iran’s nuclear progress: Rafsanjani
TEHRAN,Dec. 1 (MNA) -- In a message issued on Tuesday Expediency Council Chairman Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani strongly condemned the terrorist attacks on two physicists in Tehran in which one of them was martyred, saying the attacks are “definitely rooted” in Iran’s nuclear progress.
“Since the beginning of the Islamic Revolution… enemies have tried through different ways and cowardly terrorist plots to halt the scientific progress of the civilized nation of Iran.
“This time they have resorted to the same old ploys… in the hope that they can cause a crack in the Iranians’ determination in the process of establishing an Islamic democracy and maintaining their independence” but they will definitely fail to realize their vicious goals, Rafsanjani stated in his message.
