Indonesian parliament speaker meets Larijani
TEHRAN, Dec. 6(MNA) -- Chairman of the House of Regional Representatives of Indonesia, Irman Gusman, held a meeting with Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani in Tehran on Sunday.
Muslim states shoulder great responsibility regarding regional and international developments, Larijani stated.
He added, “Under the present condition that great changes are taking place in regional and international arenas, Muslim states can play more significant roles in global equations through consultations with each other.”
Gusman, for his part, said that technical and economic progress of the Islamic Republic of Iran is a source of pride for Muslim world.
He also said that increased parliamentary cooperation between the two countries would positively affect Tehran-Jakarta friendly ties.
