SADISTIC MURDER EXECUTED ON THURSDAY EVENING
Semarang, Aug 7 (ANTARA) - The execution of a solo killer on death row for his involvement in sadistic murder, Rio Alex Bullo (30), will be carried out on Thursday evening.
"Yes, this evening Rio will be executed," an Assistant to the General Crime High Prosecutor of Central Java, Monang Pardede, said here on Thursday.
Asked about the location and the time for the convict's execution, Monang was reluctant to answer it. He only said prior to the execution, Rio was reported to be in a good health physically and mentally.
Since Tuesday, nobody was allowed to have a look at Rio, including members of his family, as it was feared to influence the convict's emotion and mentality. However his relatives had already met Rio before.
"We gave Rio an opportunity to meet his wife and sons last Monday," he said.
As to his burial, Monang said Rio Alex Bullo had asked the authorities and his family to bury him in Purwokerto.
Rio was sentenced to death by the Purwokerto district court for the sadistic murder of a lawyer on January 21, 2001 and three others in different cases in Semarang and Bandung.
