Iran-5+1 talks wrap up, next round in January
TEHRAN, Dec. 8 (MNA) -- Talks between Iran and 5+1 group in Geneva ended on Tuesday and the two sides agreed to hold the next round of talks in late January in the Turkish city of Istanbul.
The two sides have described the talks as “positive”.
The next round of negotiations will focus on finding common grounds for cooperation.
Iran and the 5+1 group (the United States, Russia, China, Britain, France, and Germany) met in Geneva on Monday and Tuesday after a 15-month hiatus.
In this round of the talks, Supreme National Security Council Secretary Saeed Jalili represented Iran and EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton represented the countries of the 5+1 group.
