Tehran, Minsk highlight using national currencies in trade
TEHRAN, Dec. 12(MNA) -- Iranian Commerce Minister Mehdi Ghazanfari and the Chairman of the Board of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus Petr P. Prokopovich met in Tehran to discuss bilateral ties.
During the meeting the Iranian commerce minister emphasized on using national currencies in bilateral trades.
“Using national currencies will accelerate banking affairs, as well as boosting bilateral ties,” Ghazanfari said.
He went on to note that Belarusian government has supported establishment of two private banks in the European country.
