German gallery hosting exhibit on Iranian contemporary art
TEHRAN, Dec. 12 (MNA) -- The Brigitte Schenk Gallery in Cologne is holding an exhibition on Iranian contemporary art under the title of “Iranian Today”.
Curated by German-based Iranian artist Shahram Karimi, the exhibition will run until January 20 at the venue.
Artworks by Afsun Asgari, Kurosh Asgari, Ala Dehqan, Zahra Hassanabadi, Amir Hedayat, Shohreh Mehran, Masud Sadedin and Vahid Sharifian are on display at the event.
Some video paintings created by Shahram Karimi are also on display at the showcase. He will also speak on “Global Art and Cultural Identity” at the Kölnisches Stadtmuseum (Cologne City Museum) on Sunday.
Recent works by Shahram Karimi have been published in a book which is offered for sale on the sidelines of the showcase.
