Turkmenistan considers Iran its best trade partner: Tehran envoy
TEHRAN, Dec. 13 (MNA) -- Iran is Turkmenistan’s best trade and economic partner, Tehran’s ambassador to Ashgabat has quoted the Turkmen president as saying.
The Turkmen president made the remarks in a conference on Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality, Mohammad-Mousa Hashemi Golpayegani told on Sunday.
Turkmenistan celebrated the 15th anniversary of its permanent neutrality. Some delegations from different countries attended the conference.
The neutrality was approved by 185 countries on December 12, 1995.
In the ceremony President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov said Iran is Turkmenistan’s trustable, old, and best partner in trade and economic spheres, the ambassador added.
Hashemi Golpayegani added that the Turkmen foreign minister also called Iran his country’s best partner and expressed hope that cooperation would expand between the two neighbors especially in oil and energy spheres.
The foreign minister also emphasized Iran’s right to peaceful nuclear technology, Iran ambassador to Ashgabat explained.
