PRESIDENT LEADS TECHNOLOGY REVIVAL DAY FUNCTION
Jakarta, Aug. 8 (ANTARA) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono led a function to mark the 13th National Technology Revival Day at the State Palace here on Friday.
The president held teleconference dialogues with a number of researchers at Sriwijaya University (Palembang, South Sumatra), Gorontalo University (Sulawesi), and Udayana University (Bali Island).
Yudhoyono also had a teleconference with participants of the Research and Technology Exhibition 2008 being held at Kamayoran, Jakarta.
Research and Technology Minister Kusmayanto Kardiman in his report said that despite limited budgets, the country's researchers were able to make innovations, including in the agriculture and energy sectors.
National Technology Revival Day was also marked by the decortion of 100 noted researchers, including Prof Said Jenie who passed away last month.
