Iran`s sunni MPs call for firm action against terrorists
TEHRAN, Dec. 20 (MNA) --The Sunni lawmakers in the parliament issued a statement on Sunday condemning the Chabahar’s terrorist attack.
In their statement the Sunni lawmakers demanded the government identify and deal firmly with the perpetrators of the terrorist act and take proper action against the foreign supporters of the terrorists.
It will be revealed soon that the global arrogance, particularly the “criminal America and Israel,” have been behind this terrorist attack, the Sunni faction of the parliament stated.
The MPs also said the global arrogance (imperialist powers) seeks to sow seeds of discord between Sunni and Shia Muslims to find a way out of the “quagmire” that it is currently stuck in.
On Wednesday, a suicide bomber detonated an explosive device outside a mosque in the southeastern city of Chabahar during a Shia religious ceremony, killing 38 people and injuring more than 100 others. Women and children were among the victims. The terrorist group Jundullah claimed responsibility for the bombing.
